OUR SENSES:

The gallery depicts the importance of our five senses and the sensory organs that help us perceive this beautiful world. Vision, smell, taste, hearing and touch. A number of interactive exhibits of the gallery explain how we see an object or why we are able to see colours; how we can hear selectively or what is our body balancing mechanism. One can know the reason behind the different taste and smell of delicious dishes. You can even find out your visual and hearing reaction times simply at the press of a switch. In short, the gallery unfurls the fascinating world of human senses.

FUN SCIENCE:

Science starts with exploration and leads to discovery. Fun Science Gallery, as the name implies, has hands-on easy to use exhibits with a lot of fun component that tempt one to play with them and explore the 'Why' or 'How' of common scientific phenomena.

OUTDOOR SCIENCE PARK:

Outside the halls, in open air, situated is the lush green Science Park where young children come close to the nature and play with specially designed exhibits placed aesthetically in the natural surrounding. Here, one can find exhibits on simple mechanics, sound, optics, pendulumsetc.

GYM PARK:

A fun fitness park equipped with the latest physical exercise equipments where both children and adults can recreate as well as maintain fitness by visiting this park

3D THEATRE (50 SEATER):

Digital technology offers immense avenues to present images with extraordinary variety. The 50 seater theatre uses polaroid based stereo projection which creates a three dimensional effect. The show gives an immersive experience with the help of special polaroid spectacles. Otherwise hazy movie when seen through special goggles comes out of screen and provide thrilling and eerie experience.

PLANETARIUM (SPACE EDUCATION CENTRE-50 SEATER):

The Science Centre is home to the one and only Planetarium in the State. It is a 50 seater planetarium which has stunning visualizations of the space, stars, planets and many other celestial phenomena, discoveries, and significant theories about our Solar system and the Universe, resulting in a uniquely immersive experience for the audience.

SCIENCE POPULARISATION ACTIVITIES:

The Science Centre organizes many indoor and outdoor activities for students like Science Demonstration Lectures, Science Quiz, Science Seminar, Science Fair, Vacation Hobby Camp, Nature Study Camp etc. The science centre also observes important days like, National Science Day, Anniversary Day of the centre, National Technology Day, World Environment Day, World Population Day, World AIDS Day, Children's Day etc. through befitting programmes and activities.
