SPACE EDUCATION CENTRE:

This Centre provides a unique opportunity to bring various aspects of astronomy interestingly by simulating a dynamic sky on a digital environment. Visitors can actually see the performance of nature on its own cosmic stage, rather than being told about it. The learning impact and entertainment quotient of Space Education Centre are, therefore, well accepted and validated universally. Measuring 8 mtr in diameter, the Space Education Centre dome has a seating capacity of 50. The hall has a special digital projector and the system has an inherent advantage that it can incorporate real images/videos of cosmic events in the programme for immersive experience. Since the operation is computerized, new astronomy programmes or other educational programmes can be created in-house. In addition, the fully digital projection system can be tailor-made to suit the changing needs and expectation of the people.

The system gives greater flexibility in not only showing night sky as seen from the earth, but also from points that are far distance in space and time. The Science Centre along with the Space Education Centre is sure to excite the visitors and create awareness about important issues in science, apart from providing effective environment for free choice science learning. There are also several exhibits placed around the hall waiting to be explored to understand the mystery of the space.
